Survey Questionnaire

Assessment and Reporting Practices in Schools in Papua New Guinea

Focus on SAPS, SASS and Student Report Cards

Introduction to the Respondent

Dear Respondent,

You are invited to participate in a research study examining assessment recording, processing, reporting, and management practices in schools in Papua New Guinea.

The study focuses on the use of the School Assessment Period Sheet (SAPS), School Assessment Summary Sheet (SASS), and Student Report Cards — how these processes are currently carried out (manually, digitally, or both) and the challenges schools experience.

The questionnaire examines timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, workload, record management, availability of technology, teacher training, and potential use of digital assessment systems across the four regions of PNG: Southern, Highlands, Momase, and New Guinea Islands.

Your participation is voluntary. You are not required to provide your name. Your information is treated confidentially and used only for research purposes. Please answer based on the actual practices of your school.

Thank you for your valuable participation.
